The Bundle includes the Vienna Dimension Strings Collections at a reduced Bundle price and comes with the free Vienna Instruments player. To make the most of these unique multi-dimensional samples, we recommend using Vienna Instruments Pro.

Vienna Dimension Strings 1
Vienna Dimension Strings I FULL edition opens a new chapter in the history of sampling technology. The recordings in Vienna’s famed Silent Stage started as early as the fall of 2008. With a total of more than 830,000 samples, recorded in four years at our Silent Stage, it is by far the most ambitious and intensive production in the history of the Vienna Symphonic Library. To put these numbers in perspective: Since the foundation of the company in 2000, we have published more than two million samples, covering nearly every instrument of the symphonic orchestra and more.
The 24 string players of Vienna Dimension Strings I were recorded in homogeneous groups (8 violins, 6 violas, 6 cellos and 4 double basses), capturing all of the human interactions and slight imperfections of a live performance, but this time we’ve used individual microphones for each player, which allows you to access each voice individually.
Vienna Dimension Strings 1 Extended
The Extended library of Dimension Strings 1 includes additional articulations such as sustained (non vibrato, progressive vibrato), slow tremolo, long détaché, crescendo/diminuendo, snap pizzicato, col legno, artificial harmonics, legato and portamento performances (non vibrato and espressivo), performance glissandos and trills (legato, marcato), fast crescendo repetitions in 6 speeds (140 – 200 BPM).
Vienna Dimension Strings 2
This Collection is the sequel to Vienna Dimension Strings I. It contains nearly the same playing techniques, but these string instruments were exclusively recorded “con sordino” (with mutes), offering all-new sonic subtleties. Playing with mutes dampens the transmission of energy from the strings to the body of the instrument and softens or darkens the sound. The effect of these silky smooth timbres perfectly suits intimate arrangements and emotional ballads, or envelops a sensitive cue with subtle intensity. An insider tip of Hollywood film composers is to blend the normal string sound with muted strings for achieving a very special broad, soft, and warm string environment.
